frames for our wedding photos
R and I took a weekend intensive at Pratt building wood frames for our wedding photos. Our instructor James was mad cool and the other people in the class were lovely. we made 5 cherry wood frames across the two of us, with walnut and oat accents anchoring the corners.
general takeaways: woodworking is fun and very rewarding - I was buzzing after class from the joy of making things. holy shit sanding is a lot of work. dado blade was definitely the best way to cut the rabbit. cutting matboard cleanly in the corners is pretty tricky. cutting glass is very satisfying.
