mending/darning
I took a mending class with Rachel from Frayed Threads Mending at the Summit Selvage space in 2023 and it’s been so useful ever since.
The first thing I darned was Rohit’s hoodie sleeve. Years later, it’s still holding up strong. I learned a silly lesson that darning with yellow and pink together really gives the appearance of a light skin color, so from a distance, it almost looks like a hole. The second darn, in the elbow, is a contrasting blue color, definitely an improvement.
I also mended a hole in the kiln gloves at the studio, which has also held up quite well.
